Justin was born in Lafayette. The youngest of a very close family of 7 kids (good Catholic parents).
After high school Justin pestered his way into his first radio gig in 1985 at KVOL AM in Lafayette, while
attending USL. After being invited to leave USL, Justin bounced around the state with radio gigs in Baton
Rouge, Lafayette, Alexandria and Shreveport, landing in Lake Charles at Bayou 104 in April 1992. In October 1992 Justin met the love of  his life Tina, they were married on 9/2/95.  On July 25th , 2005 Justin and Tina gave birth to their first child Marie Claire, and she is the shining light of both of their lives.

Since arriving at KBIU. Justin has seen
 the station go through 3 owners, 11 program directors and 13 general managers, but Justin just won't leave.

When/How did you start in radio?:

I got into Radio in the spring of 1985 at KVOL-AM, which was an oldies station in Lafayette. I bugged them until they hired me.

Everyone I meet, I guess that's why my taste are so eclectic.

No, I like it if it's played and performed well.

What do you recommend to those who are trying to get into radio?

Radio is fun but not the most stable or profitable. Get a degree in something else  you can fall back on.
